Once a certificate program has been completed, the participant will receive a certificate from ACI. There are currently five programs available: Concrete Constructability, Anchorage Design, Repair Application Procedures, Fundamentals of Concrete and Materials, and Fundamentals of Concrete Construction. Each program requires completing a set of courses and passing an exam with an 80% score. The courses can be accessed individually or through an all-access annual subscription.

ACI certification Online Training Resources: These are online training programs for contractors, engineers, and other concrete professionals seeking to become ACI-certified in one of ACI’s concrete testing, inspection, or construction/specialist programs. Frequently Asked Questions and Answers

Q1: What's the difference between concrete and cement?

The difference between cement and concrete is often misunderstood, as the terms are frequently used interchangeably. However, it is important to note that cement is merely one of the ingredients found in concrete. Concrete, on the other hand, is a combination of aggregates and paste. The aggregates consist of sand, gravel, or crushed stone, while the paste is composed of water and portland cement.

Q2: Which is stronger concrete or cement?

Concrete is commonly utilized for large-scale projects, whereas cement finds its application in smaller tasks and minor repairs. Its exceptional binding capabilities make cement an excellent adhesive agent. However, the inclusion of aggregates during the concrete blending process significantly enhances its strength compared to cement.

Q3: Can you just use cement on its own?

To enhance the working properties and durability of concrete and mortar, additional materials such as lime, plasticiser, or other building chemicals can be incorporated. It is important to note that relying solely on cement is not sufficient.
