Photography

Photography is the art of capturing images using a camera. The subject of a photograph is the main feature of the picture, the central focus that draws attention. Generally, subject, form, and content make up the three basic components of a photograph. Subject is the "what" in a photograph, the topic, focus, or image. Common subjects of photography include people, arrangements of objects, the natural world, and abstractions. Photographers can also choose to capture landscapes, buildings, animals, and still lives. When taking a picture, selecting a subject is essential. Sometimes, the subject is chosen on the spot or based on inspiration, and other times, the photographer takes time to decide how to portray the object or person in the photograph. Photographers often choose subjects based on what inspires them, something that stands out, something unique, or something they want to remember. It's important to remember that subject matter alone is not enough to make a great photograph. Photographers aim to communicate something more, to bring something new to the table and put their own spin on the subject.
