Insect Illustrations and Animations in Procreate

Course Overview

In this class, students will learn how to create unique insect illustrations and animations on their iPad in Procreate. Students will be provided with color palettes and Procreate brushes to help them add depth, texture, and grit to their illustrations. Additionally, an inspiration board of over 400 vintage insect illustrations will be provided for reference material. The class will cover how to create a single insect illustration and turn it into several different compositions, as well as how to turn one of the illustrations into an animation. Lastly, students will learn how to create an interaction in their illustrations by combining an insect and an object with layering and texture. All that is needed to take this class is an iPad and a stylus. The class downloads are available with the password provided at the beginning of the class. Music by Ben Sound.
