Screen-Printing Grain Effect in Adobe Photoshop

Course Overview

This course, Screen-Printing Grain Effect in Adobe Photoshop, will teach students how to imitate Screen-Printing Grain with a Non-Destructive Smart Effect in Adobe Photoshop. This effect creates a striking graphic look which can be used when designing prints, posters or giving the same flavour to a collection of images. It can also be used to prepare images for real-life screen printing as an alternative method to halftone patterns.

Students will learn how to build the screen-printing grain effect in Adobe Photoshop, how to quickly apply it to other images, how to adjust the effect to work well with different types of images, how to colour images with this effect, how to create multicolour compositions (new content in the 2019 update), and how to scale work to create or maintain the desired look (new content in the 2019 update).

This technique can be used in Adobe Photoshop CC versions and should also work fine in CS6, though it would require a work-around for smart adjustments.
