Asynchronous JavaScript Requests

Course Overview

This course provides an overview of asynchronous JavaScript requests. Students will learn why they should use asynchronous data requests, how to use the XHR (XMLHTTPRequest) object to send and receive data asynchronously, and how to compare using XHR with using a third-party library like jQuery's Ajax. Additionally, students will learn how to send and receive data using jQuery's Ajax methods, how jQuery's Ajax works under the hood, how to use JavaScript promises to create a fetch request and handle the data asynchronously, and how to handle errors for failed requests.

After completing this course, students should be able to apply the knowledge they have gained to create asynchronous JavaScript requests.
