This course aims to teach students how to master the Tapping technique on electric guitar. It is recommended that students have studied Electric Guitar for Beginners and Electric Guitar Intermediate-Advanced before taking this course, as it will help them build a strong foundation on the guitar. With the fundamentals learned in the previous courses, students will learn how to use both their left and right hand fingers to access bigger intervals, sound fast and smooth. After each section, students will learn an example guitar solo using the Tapping technique.
The instructor has 22 years of experience with music and electric guitar, having studied with legends such as Greg Howe, Jennifer Batten, Martin Miller and Debbie Davies. He has also practiced music theory and music production, and has been on the stage countless times in both small venues and big festivals. He has taught more than a thousand students both face-to-face and online for more than 15 years.
In this course, students will build a solid foundation on the electric guitar and learn how to apply music theory to their guitar playing to broaden their vision on the instrument. There will be no sheet music used, and the instructor promises that students will love what they can achieve when they learn these concepts. After each topic, there will be an example related to that topic, such as a song, guitar melody or guitar solo. All videos are integrated with guitar tabs, so students will not have to download any pdf or switch to another page.
When students sign up to this course, they will receive a link to a Facebook group where they can join and share their performance, ask for feedback and guidance. The instructor will also be active in the group, and students can ask any of their questions on Udemy as well.
