This course, Swords and Shovels: Closing the Loop, provides students with the opportunity to use the knowledge they have gained from the previous courses in the Swords and Shovels series to create a fun and engaging game. Students will learn how to spawn mobs in waves of increasing difficulty, level up their hero, add feedback with sound and graphical exciters, and make use of the inventory system with drops and pickups. By the end of the course, students will have the skills and techniques necessary to create their own games. Topics covered include course overview, introduction, enemies, hero progression, player feedback, drops and pickups, and wrapping up.
