This Unity 2D Fundamentals - Enemies and Obstacles course is designed to introduce students to the creation of assets that can harm their character. Students will learn how to create obstacles and simple AI enemies in a practical project. The course will start with an initial 2D project where students will craft the game's obstacle and code to damage the player. Then, students will build art assets to give the player feedback, both audio and visual, to help them understand that they have taken damage. Lastly, students will create an enemy's game object, and create the AI that will control it. By the end of the course, students will have the knowledge to create both static obstacles and simple AI based enemies. Unity 2D Fundamentals - Enemies and Obstacles is the third course in the series and builds on earlier courses. Software required: Unity. Topics covered include: Course Overview, Project Overview and Obstacle Asset, Creating Code for Our First Obstacle, Adding Player Feedback, Creating Our Mobile Enemy Asset, and Creating a Simple AI for Our Mobile Enemy.
