Dr. K. Lakshman, a faculty in the Department of Public Administration at Nizam College, Osmania University, has developed a MOOCs course on Administrative Theory for Under-Graduation Courses. This course provides an introduction to the concepts, approaches, principles, and significance of various Public Administration theories. It is being taught at Under Graduate level in various universities as regular and distance learning mode, as well as in many government and private colleges.

The course objectives are to enable students to understand the basic concepts, meaning, scope and importance of administrative theory, and to gain knowledge about the oriental thought, classical structure and process of organization, administrative and management skills, human relation relations, behaviouralism, organizational humanism and emerging trends in administrative theory.

The intended audience for this course includes Under-Graduate students, working professionals of various institutions and organizations. The course comprises of 13 weeks, with 50 Lessons/Modules, and each week includes assignments. The topics covered include Oriental Thought, Classical Theories, Human Relations and Behavioural theories, Human Relations and Systems theories, Socio-Psychological and Motivational Theories, Ecological and Development Theories, New Concepts, Public Choice Theories, Writers on Administration, Social Thinkers, and Emerging Trends.
