IE Business School's Brand Identity and Strategy course is designed to help professionals adopt a creative approach to empowering brands. Through this course, students will gain an understanding of what a brand is and how to build successful ones, while also learning how to segment their consumers. The course will explore positioning and its importance to successful brands, looking at perceptual maps and the iceberg model. It will culminate in the development of real brand houses, which can be applied to the working world, and how picking the right name, colors and logo can be instrumental to a brand’s success. The course is taught by Dr Maria Eizaguirre, a Rhodes Scholar winning Professor and member of IE Business School’s faculty.

Upon completion of the Brand Identity and Strategy course, students will be able to apply their knowledge to the working world. They will be able to develop real brand houses, understand the importance of positioning, and pick the right name, colors, and logo for a brand. Additionally, they will be able to segment their consumers appropriately and build successful brands.
