This course provides an introduction to the Bauhaus Movement, a major influence on modern art and design. Students will learn about the history of the movement, its philosophy and tenets, and its legacy. They will also explore the use of graphic design, color, and typography in the Bauhaus style. The class project will be a Bauhaus-inspired poster in Illustrator, which will provide an opportunity to learn about tools and techniques in the program.
