Markice Moore's Actors Intensive Class Project is designed to help aspiring actors become working actors in the post-Covid-19 world. Through this course, students will learn how to master auditions, analyze scripts, and find the truth in every role they play. They will also learn the different types of techniques, such as the Stanislavsky Technique, the Strasberg Method, the Adler Technique, the Meisner Technique, and the Uta Hagen Technique. At the end of the course, students will be required to complete a program assignment with a partner, which will involve presenting a performance via Zoom. Throughout the course, students will gain an understanding of the current terminology used in the film/TV business, as well as tips on "setiquette" - the proper way to conduct oneself on a film/TV set. They will also develop the ability to take direction, work as a team and individually, have good time keeping skills, be reliable, and learn lines/directions. Additionally, they will gain confidence in being in front of an audience and experience in improvisation/ad-libbing. By the end of the course, students should have a realistic understanding of what they can offer as actors, including their physical characteristics, the way their voice sounds, and any special skills they have in addition to acting. They should also be confident enough to begin navigating their journey into becoming a working actor.
