The Sustainable Supply Chain Operations and Technology (SSCP03) course is designed to build on the foundational knowledge of Sustainability and Supply Chain acquired in the first two ISCEA SSCP01-02 courses. This course focuses on the use of technology and tools to foster innovation and create a circular Supply Chain Model. Learners will gain an understanding of the importance of Sustainable transportation within the core stages of the Supply Chain, including Warehousing and Distribution. Examples of current innovative initiatives and applications of zero waste and advanced distribution technologies will be discussed to motivate professionals to implement these technologies into existing or developing Supply Chains.
The course will also demonstrate how tools can be used to move business processes towards a circular model as the economy shifts away from linear design. Learners will gain an understanding of how a Supply Chain designed with the principles of this course can protect the planet and ensure sustained profit and process.
This course is one of the three ISCEA Sustainability Supply Chain courses offered on edX and is a prerequisite for the Globally Recognized, ISCEA Certified Sustainable Supply Chain Professional (CSSCP) Designation.
