Course Overview

Skills and Knowledge:
This course will provide participants with the theoretical knowledge and skills necessary to respond to a medical emergency involving an unconscious person. Participants will learn how to perform adult, child, and infant CPR, as well as how to use an AED. They will also gain an understanding of the UK Resuscitation and First Aid guidelines, and how to recognize and respond to medical emergencies. Additionally, participants will gain an understanding of the importance of seeking professional medical advice in unpredictable real life situations.

However, it is not a substitute for medical advice and it is recommended that individuals attend a practical First Aid course to understand what to do in a medical emergency. Therefore, this course is not suitable for preparing further education.
