The Sustainable Supply Chains and Circularity (SSCP01) course is designed to provide learners with an introduction to the foundations of both Sustainability and Supply Chain. The main objective of the course is to demonstrate that Supply Chain Efficiency and Sustainable Innovation can be complementary when paired with the right strategies and business planning. Learners will gain an understanding of the Sustainable Supply Chain, the fundamental issues and obstacles to achieving efficient Global Supply Chains, and Circular Economy Models. The course will also cover International Sustainability Standard Frameworks, Sustainable Audits, and Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives.
Case Studies of closed-loop innovations in Global Supply Chain will be presented to demonstrate the importance of planning and long term management. Learners will gain an understanding of the ongoing movement to promote social and economic welfare in developed and developing nations. The course will also introduce learners to the importance of Sustainable Audits, which measure, account, and track current operations.
