This course will provide an overview of the history and outcomes of a work-life balance in employed individuals. It will cover the key theories of work-life conflict, work-life integration and enrichment, and boundary management. It will also explore the future of work, evaluating how technology allows individuals to work more flexibly, but in the meantime risking less time to switch off and recover from work. Flexible working practices as a means to enhance your work-life balance will also be discussed.

At the end of the course, participants will have a better understanding of the key factors for a work-life balance, and what can be done in an organisation to achieve this. They will also have the opportunity to discuss their own experiences and challenges in achieving a work-life balance.

The course will be delivered through a combination of lectures, group discussions, and practical activities. Participants will be encouraged to share their experiences and ideas, and to reflect on their own work-life balance.

By the end of the course, participants will have a better understanding of the key theories of work-life balance, the impact of remote working, and the strategies that can be used to achieve a better work-life balance.
